Patient Rajini does the rounds in Mylapore hospital

It was like a dream come true for the patients at the Isabel Hospital in Chennai when South India’s iconic star Rajinikanth visited them, and inquired about their wellbeing.
Well, the superstar has been hospitalized and kept under observation as he is suffering from viral fever and allergic bronchitis.
And while he is on the path of recovery, Rajinikanth surprised everyone by visiting the other patients at the hospital and charmed them with his personality.
“Rajini is full of energy. He has been making it a point to visit other patients regularly and to chat with them. Those in the hospital were stunned with the Superstar’s super act,” revealed hospital sources.
An insider informed, “Doctors recently removed phlegm from his chest. He will be discharged soon. The hospital is flooded with calls ever since Rajini was admitted here. The phone is ringing non-stop.”
A refreshing experience for ICU patients
Reports claimed that Rajinikanth’s interactive nature has refreshed the other serious patients and they were found in better spirits after his visit.
"Even the sickest started smiling on seeing their favorite star in flesh and blood," said a hospital employee. He further said that they were amazed to see the ease with which Rajini was talking to the other patients.
"He has lots of work lined up. We are trying to help him complete some of them from the hospital itself,” said doctors.
They also said that the actor didn’t take proper treatment when he was admitted to the hospital earlier, and this was the reason that he had to be re-admitted.
Deepika working hard while Rajini in hospital
Meanwhile, the ‘Rana’ heroine Deepika Padukone has finished shooting her first schedule for the movie, in which she will be sporting the look of a 17th century lady.
“Deepika has shot for about 70 per cent of the song. The rest of the number, which is a dream sequence, will be shot with Rajini sir in London. We also shot a few solo scenes with her,” said director KS Ravikumar.
He also said that Rajini’s illness had not affected the shooting of the movie and he would resume work soon.
