The Mother in Law factor - How men can help?

To develop a strong relationship, the man has to do the balancing act. So it is important to prepare the ground before marriage. This is the key to ensure that both women have equally important and separate, roles to play in your life.
·         Banish Insecurities:  Ensure that your mother shouldn’t feel threatened because of the new woman in your life. Don’t stop communicating with her just because you have a new person to talk to.
·         Involve: Your wife feels like she has left her parents, friends, old life and sometimes country to be a part of yours and thus has high expectations. Involve your mother and ask her how to make her comfortable. This will make her feel as a part of your life and the wife will see your mother as a pleasant facilitator and not an enemy.
·         Appreciate: The kitchen is the most common war zone, but it need not be. Never compare one’s cooking with the other and do not praise the one’s cooking in front of the other. Appreciate and thank each one of them separately. Even if it’s a small gesture like getting flowers, buy them for both women.
·         Divide your time: You love both the woman and it is important to that they don’t feel insecure about the other. Have dinner with her when your wife is having a girls’ night out. Similarly, whisk your wife away for romantic getaways and dates.
·         Watch your tongue: Never lose your temper at one in front of the other.  Do not exchange what one has said about the other. When both of them are arguing, encourage them to communicate and deal with it in their own way. Step into it only if it gets aggressive.
Lastly, it is not a bad idea to make both the woman feel that they are special.

Swiss bank revealed Indian have more money then rest of the world - Tax Guru .com

This is so shocking…. ….If black money deposits was an Olympics event…. India would have won a gold medal hands down. The second best Russia has 4 times lesser deposit. U.S. is not even there in the counting in top five! India has more money in Swiss banks than all the other countries combined!
Recently, due to international pressure, the Swiss government agreed to disclose the names of the account holders only if the respective governments formally asked for it.. Indian government is not asking for the details….. ..no marks for guessing why?

We need to start a movement to pressurise the government to do so! This is perhaps the only way, and a golden opportunity, to expose the high and mighty and weed out corruption!
Please read on……and forward to all the honest Indians to…..like somebody is forwarding to you…….and build a ground-swell of support for action ! Is India poor, who says? Ask the Swiss banks. With personal account deposit bank of $1,500 billion in foreign reserve which have been misappropriated, an amount 13 times larger than the country’s foreign debt, one needs to rethink if India is a poor country?

DISHONEST INDUSTRIALISTS, scandalous politicians and corrupt IAS, IRS, IPS officers have deposited in foreign banks in their illegal personal accounts a sum of about $1500 billion, which have been misappropriated by them. This amount is about 13 times larger than the country’s foreign debt. With this amount 45 crore poor people can get Rs 1,00,000 each.

This huge amount has been appropriated from the people of India by exploiting and betraying them. Once this huge amount of black money and property comes back to India , the entire foreign debt can be repaid in 24 hours. After paying the entire foreign debt, we will have surplus amount, almost 12 times larger thanthe foreign debt. If this surplus amount is invested in earning interest, the amount of interest will be more than the annual budget of the Central government. So even if all the taxes are abolished, then also the Central government will be able to maintain the country very comfortably.

Some 80,000 people travel to Switzerland every year, of whom 25,000 travel very frequently. ‘Obviously, these people won’t be tourists.. They must be travelling there for some other reason,’ believes an official involved in tracking illegal money.. And, clearly, he isn’t referring to the commerce ministry bureaucrats who’ve been flitting in and out of Geneva ever since the World Trade Organisation (WTO) negotiations went into a tailspin!

Just read the following details and note how these dishonest industrialists, scandalous politicians, corruptofficers, cricketers, film actors, illegal sex trade and protected wildlife operators, to name just a few, sucked this country’s wealth and prosperity. This may be the picture of deposits in Swiss banks only. What about other international banks ?

Black money in Swiss banks — Swiss Banking Association report, 2006 details bank deposits in the territory of Switzerland by nationals of following countries :
TOP FIVE

INDIA $1,456 BILLION
RUSSIA $470 BILLION
U.K. $390 BILLION
UKRAINE $100 BILLION
CHINA $96 BILLION

Now do the math’s – India with $1,456 billion or $1.4 trillion has more money in Swiss banks than rest of the world combined. Public loot since 1947:

Can we bring back our money ? It is one of the biggest loots witnessed by mankind — the loot of the Aam Aadmi (common man) since 1947, by his brethren occupying public office. It has been orchestrated by politicians, bureaucrats and some businessmen.

The list is almost all-encompassing. No wonder, everyone in India loots with impunity and without any fear. What is even more depressing in that this ill-gotten wealth of ours has been stashed away abroad into secret bank accounts located in some of the world’s best known tax havens. And to that extent the Indian economy has been stripped of its wealth. Ordinary Indians may not be exactly aware of how such secret accounts operate and what are the rules and regulations that go on to govern such tax havens. However, one may well be aware of ‘Swiss bank accounts,’ the shorthand for murky dealings, secrecy and of course pilferage from developing countries into rich developed ones.

In fact, some finance experts and economists believe tax havens to be a conspiracy of the western world against the poor countries. By allowing the proliferation of tax havens in the twentieth century, the western world explicitly encourages the movement of scarce capital from the developing countries to the rich. In March 2005, the Tax Justice Network (TJN) published a research finding demonstrating that $11.5 trillion of personal wealth was held offshore by rich individuals across the globe.

The findings estimated that a large proportion of this wealth was managed from some 70 tax havens. Further, augmenting these studies of TJN, Raymond Baker — in his widely celebrated book titled ‘Capitalism’ s Achilles Heel: Dirty Money and How to Renew the Free Market System’ — estimates that at least $5 trillion have been shifted out of poorer countries to the West since the mid-1970.

It is further estimated by experts that one per cent of the world’s population holds more than 57 per cent of total global wealth, routing it invariably through these tax havens.
How much of this is from India is anybody’s guess.

Rajini Style - by a true fan

Devaraj celebrates his love for superstar Rajinikanth by providing free haircuts and shaves to the destitute,

MAN ON A MISSION 'Rajini' Devaraj

When Rajinikanth wielded a pair of hair styling shears for his role as a hairdresser in the movie Johnny, ‘Rajini' Devaraj was the happiest man in the world. A hairstylist himself, the movie is one of his all time favourites. His house is not crammed with posters of the superstar as one would expect. Rather, it's his motorcycle's side box that bears a hand-painted picture of the style icon. The Rajini devotee has taken his thalaivar's punch line, En vazhi thani vazhi all too seriously.

As traffic drones on in Uppilipalayam on a Friday afternoon, the lanky 49 year old is seen giving a haircut to a shirtless old man on the pavement. The man sits on his haunches while Devaraj trims his beard and moustache. Well-groomed within minutes, he lifts his trembling hands in salute and walks away with his gunny bag.

Devaraj is a mobile hairstylist on a mission. Most of his clients cannot afford to have a haircut. Beggars, vagrants, the mentally ill and slum dwellers – this slice of our society, that most of us have chosen to ignore, forms his special clientele.

Every Friday morning, he starts from home with his kit of scissors and combs tucked inside his motorcycle's side box. Riding around the city, he seeks a destitute in the streets and gets down to business. Once he's done – hair neatly cut, beard and moustache trimmed down, he sets off to find the next needy one and goes on till sundown. “It was on December 12, 1994, the birthday of Rajini sir that I started offering free haircuts,” recalls Devaraj.

“I did free haircuts for underprivileged children in my shop on the last Friday of every month. Parents on daily wages, who couldn't afford to give their kids a haircut, brought them to me,” he says. “I also visited slums and schools for the visually impaired and offered to do free haircuts,” he adds. It was in 2008 that Devaraj started going around the city in his two-wheeler to give the disadvantaged free haircuts once a week.

Having settled his children comfortably in the metros, the humble hairdresser has nothing but service for the society in mind. But not all of is beneficiaries have been welcoming. “Some try to drive me away. It's only after persuasion that they give in. I gesture to make them understand that it's safe and that I've come to give them a haircut,” he says.

“He comes home with a truckload of experiences to share on Fridays,” beams Shanthi, the proud wife of Devaraj. “Once, after sitting through a haircut, to my utter surprise a beggar prostrated before my vehicle, like it was some kind of a deity,” he says with a smile. “Each person I tend to has a unique way of expressing their gratitude. Some nod their thanks, some hold up their hands in blessing while some disappear before I get the place cleaned up,” he says.

“Rajini sir is a great actor. I look up to him. Most of his movies convey social messages; it's his way of doing his bit for the society. This is my way of doing it. I've been a hairdresser all my life, it's what I do best and I intend to make the best use of it”. Spoken like a true hero.

Now Rajinikanth says, I'm not dead

The superstar, who was recently hospitalized for allergic bronchitis and viral fever, would not have imagined even in his wildest dreams that his hospitalization would result in fake news of his death circulating all over the internet.

As soon as the news spread, Rajini fans, thronged to online forums and sites to find out the truth. Such was the impact of the rumour that "Rajinikanth death" and "Rajinikanth died" became the top two most searched for keywords online last Sunday . Some websites even went to the extent of posting fake pictures of his death, with the message – Born on December 12, 1950, Shivaji Rao Gaekwad, famous as Rajinikanth, died at the age of 61.

Expressing shock over such false reports, Rajnikanth's family finally released an official statement on May 16 that said he was fine and had to take some rest following his recent hospitalization. "I don't know where these rumours started from. These are false. He is in good health and is resting at home," his wife Latha said in the presence of media.

Though heaving a sigh of relief following the confirmation of their star being well, Rajini fans are not willing to take this as 'just another joke'. Shaleen Asghar, a die-hard Rajini fan, said, "Bloggers should be careful in spreading news without verification. Rumours are not good. It is quite annoying to note that people do not check the authenticity of any news and spread it onwards." Akhil Das too expressed a similar opinion and said, "I am shocked to read about this stupid rumour. Rajini sir is a superstar and a very respectful man. And what do these guys gain anyway by spreading such false news?"

Everyone’s praying for Rajini

From doctors at Chennai’s Sri Ramachandra Hospital to thousands of ardent fans and Bollywood celebrities, everyone is offering their prayers for the speedy recovery of Tamil superstar Rajinikanth, 61.

Rajini, who was last seen in the 2010 blockbuster Endhiran/Robot, fell ill on May 13, with recurrent respiratory infection and gastro-intestinal problems.

On Thursday, his wife Latha clarified that the star is on the path to recovery; however, for the actor’s friends in Bollywood, the time is fraught with tension and prayer. “All lovers of Rajnikanth ... it has been disturbing to learn of his hospitalisation. I have spoken to him and been in touch with wife. Rajinikanth is improving gradually, she informs me, today by sms. We hope and pray that he recovers as soon as possible (sic),” tweeted actor Amitabh Bachchan. “I’m a huge fan of Rajini sir and I am really praying for him to get well. He’s a phenomenon and still so humble. It’s no wonder half the world is praying for him,” says filmmaker Farah Khan. “Hoping he gets well soon. Rajini sir is the embodiment of a legend,” says celebrity photographer Atul Kasbekar.

It’s not just in South India that fans have been organising special pujas — his followers in Delhi, too, are hard at prayer. “I’ve been keeping a tab on every update that’s coming from the Chennai hospital. I also offered prayers for his recovery at the local temple. With so many people’s wishes, I’m sure he will be okay,” says 26-year-old graphic artist Karthik Jairaman. “Since the news of his ill health broke, everyone in my family has offered prasad for his recovery at the temple in our locality,” says 23-year-old student, Divya Iyer.

Keeping the faith in Rajini
Earlier this week, in the town of Hosur, Tamil Nadu, over 50 Rajinikanth fans got together and ate rice off the floor as part of the Mann Soru ritual. Held at the Kalikamba temple, the prayer was conducted to ensure the speedy recovery of the actor. On Thursday, several fan clubs got together to pray at the Mahim Ganpati temple in Mumbai.

Rajini rana dropped???

Rajinikanth's much-publicized movie Rana has temporarily been shelved, as the actor has to be in bed rest for at least six months. His family sources have said that they are more concerned about the actor's health and their first priority is the superstar's health.

Soundarya Rajinikanth, who is one of the producers of Rana, has told a leading tabloid that they are not thinking about the proposed project and it will be rescheduled once Rajinikanth is back to normal. Sources say that the actor will have to be in complete rest and obviously the movie has to be postponed.

Meanwhile, Rajinikanth, who was admitted at the Sri Ramachandra Medical Centre last week for a recurrent respiratory infection and gastrointestinal problems, underwent a minor lung surgery yesterday. Hospital sources say that the actor is cheerful and his condition is stable. But they have advised him to take complete bed rest and also have restricted the visitors from meeting the actor.

Rajini was hospitalised on the muhurat day of Rana due to allergic bronchitis and viral fever and discharged on the same day. But he was admitted again at the same hospital after Rajinikanth complained of uneasiness in breathing.

A joly ride by Ajith kumar with Venkat Prabu @ 180Kmph - Mangaatha spot

t is well-known that Ajith Kumar is passionate about cars and bikes. The actor, who loves riding a vehicle at a great speed, got an opportunity recently to do the same for his upcoming Tamil film Mangaatha. In his test drive, he took director Venkat Prabhu in a bike and no prize for guessing Venkat Prabhu's experience during the ride.

An unit member has opened up on the whole incident. He has said that in a particular scene, Ajith Kumar had to drive a racing bike on a national highway. Like every scene, he decided to have a rehearsal before the shot and told Venkat Prabhu that he wants to go for a test drive. The source further adds that the actor also called the director to join him in the drive to sit behind him in the bike. In a few minutes, the director had a cold sweat, as the actor drove at a speed of 180 kmph.

Later, the director shot the actual scene on Ajith Kumar, who drove at the speed of 300 kmph forMangaatha. Our source says that it has come out well and the way the actor rides 1000cc Honda will surely attract the youth.

Selvaraghavan drops Kamal Hassan's Vishwaroobham?

The news may come as a shocker for the Tamil film goers or it may disappoint them but the fact is that Selvargahavan's much-hyped Vishwaroobham is on the back burner. Rumour mills are working overtime claiming that the movie has been shelved and the reasons for it are yet to be revealed.

A source close to the production has said that there are possibilities of the movie being dropped. It is because Kamal Hassan has gone ahead with the Tamil version of Malayalam movie Traffic. On the other hand, Selvargahavan is completely busy withErandam Ulagam.

It is said that the director is planning to start a bilingual movie with Telugu actor Allu Arjun in the lead, which means Vishwaroobham might not happen in the near future. Adding to it, musician Harris Jayaraj's tweet has added fuel to the speculationsVishwaroobham's status.

He wrote, “I am starting my next Telugu film by August with Allu Arjun and Shruti on the lead for which Selvaraghavan does the direction.”

Selvaragavan film doubtful: Rana

Young actor Rana, who was about to work with Selvaraghavan in a multi-crore venture, says now that the project might not take off. "But we may come together in future," he says.

Please note that Selva is at present busy with Dhanush-starrer 'Irandam Ulagam' and Kamal Haasan's 'Viswaroopam', while Rana, grandson of ace producer Rama Naidu, is doing films in Telugu and Hindi.

"I am a Hyderabadi, but at the same time I am a Chennaiite too. Because I grew up in Chennai and Tamil was the first language I learnt," says Rana, who was in the Chennai city recently to attend a Ugadi function.

"So I love to work in Tamil films. But my producers and directors like to cast me in either Telugu or Hindi movies. However I am happy that my debut film is produced by a Chennai-based company," says Rana, whose maiden venture 'Leader' was produced by AVM.

Richa to pair Simbu in Dabangg remake

Richa Gangopadhyay, who made her debut with Telugu superhit movie Leader, will enter Kollywood with Silambarasan's next film, which is the remake of Salman Khan's 2010 blockbuster Dabangg, has been titled Osthi – The Cool Cop in Tamil.

The makers of the film, who were keen to cast a Bollywood face opposite Silambarasan, approached quite a few B-town actresses like Sonam Kapoor, Sonakshi Sinha, etc., before roping in Richa Gangopadhyay.

Richa, who was waiting for the right script to make her Tamil entry, gave the nod to act without any hesitation, claims a source close to the production house. The actress will be portraying the role of Rajo, which was played by Sonakshi Sinha in the original.

Dharani of Vijay's Ghilli fame is directing the film.
